Search Engine Optimization is an exceptionally intriguing issue on the World Wide Web. All things considered, everyone needs to rank higher and come up on the principal page of Google search and get more traffic.
Do not get carried away though, keep your strategy simple and use common sense. I have compiled some tips and tricks, that I found to be very helpful. So let’s begin, shall we?
1) YOAST , YOAST and YOAST!
If you do not use WordPress, then just skip this point, it’s not for you.
Yoast SEO forces you to choose a focus keyword when you’re writing your articles, and then makes sure you use that focus keyword everywhere.
2) Where to use the Keywords?
Okayyyy, even if you are not WordPress, it is fine. What Yoast does, you can do it too but it might take a little time and effort. Include your MAIN (one) keyword in the site title, domain name, meta description, tagline, keywords, blog categories, page titles, and page content. Meta-page descriptions are ad copy. Write them with that in mind. And… do NOT forget to add keywords to your images. Include words that reflect your site topic in the image title, description, and alt attributes, also in the filename.
3) Transferring to another site?
Use 301 redirects. It helps to maintain the SEO value of the web page, by transferring page rank, domain authority, etc., to a new page. So, it’s a win-win.
4) Internal Linking (SUPER IMPORTANT)
Internal linking is a key SEO tactic for writers. Use internal linking when possible and appropriate. It is a way of telling Google and site visitors that this specific content is important. Outreach is a great example of this. It may be time-consuming, but you’ll reap the rewards ten-fold if you’ve gained a single, highly authoritative link.
5) EASY Backlinks
Go to this Backlino link to find out 17 platforms that allow you to backlink to them.
Did you know.. SoundCloud and various other web platforms allow you to link to your website from an account/profile?
Easiest, and fastest way of getting Backlinks is by using an established and trustworthy website like Easy Backlinks .
6) Write like a HUMAN, for HUMAN (not pandas or penguins)
Write like a human <— This simply means be more personal. Write how you’d talk to your friends. Don’t be a robot.
Us, human beings are known to be very objective and fussy and tragically, won’t tap on something that does not bode well. We essentially don’t have time. Rather, compose your titles, headings, description, any content whatsoever with the goal of being straightforward and delightful to peruse. If it is making sense to them, they will click on it!
Keep your content up to date. Add new content AT LEAST thrice a week. Don’t be BORING!
